CATCHPRO ACADEMY
Privacy policy
Updated September 22, 2026
CatchPro helps coaches share player development results with adult players and parents or guardians. CatchPro Academy operates this service. Accounts are for adults aged 18 or older; younger players do not have a separate child login.
Information we use
We use account names, email addresses and account identifiers for sign-in, invitations and access. Player profiles contain a name, birthday, sport and an optional profile photo. We store coaching measurements, measurement dates, targets, notes and revision history to show progress. Birthdays let the app calculate age and age-based targets.
Who can access it
Authorized coaches and the adult accounts linked to a player can see that player’s permitted profile and results. Blocking and content-review decisions can hide shared text or photos and limit updates while preserving previously shared numeric results. Birthdays and family contact details have restricted access. Private change history is not a public feed. We do not sell personal information or use the app for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Service providers
Google Firebase and Google Cloud provide authentication, database storage, hosting and server operations. Google’s email services deliver invitations and account messages. Apple provides app distribution. To show video thumbnails, the exercise library requests images from YouTube’s image servers. Google receives ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, with those requests, which can occur before you open a video. Opening an exercise video can take you to YouTube, where that service’s own privacy policy applies. Contact coach opens your messaging app; you choose whether to send a text.
Photos and device storage
Photo selection is optional. CatchPro uploads the selected player profile thumbnail for coach approval before it is shared. The submitting account and authorized reviewing coaches can access a pending photo. A replacement stays pending until approval; the previously approved photo remains visible to its permitted audience. The submitter can cancel a pending photo. Unpublished entries and unfinished actions are saved in protected storage on the device so they can be recovered. Signing out clears this app-managed private data from that device. A device that is offline may retain an already downloaded copy until it reconnects or the app’s local data is cleared.
Reports and blocking
You can report a concern or block a related account under Account → Security & privacy, and report an available photo or result from its details. We store the report reason, optional explanation, relevant account and content identifiers, available content evidence, and review decisions so authorized coaching-workspace reviewers can handle the concern. This information is not a public feed and is not shared with unrelated families. Please do not include passwords or unnecessary personal information in a report.
Blocking hides that account’s shared photos and text, prevents its new updates and invitations from reaching you, and preserves the numeric results you could already access. It does not remove another adult’s authorized relationship with a shared player. Unblocking restores only access you are still authorized to have. Removing reported content can hide the offending text or photo without deleting numeric history. Text checks and human photo review have limits; report content that requires further attention.
Security and support
We use account access controls and encrypted connections. Support diagnostics record an operation name, error category and random request identifier. These diagnostics are designed to exclude passwords, invitation codes, photos, birthdays and customer notes. Service providers also process ordinary connection and security information, such as IP addresses. Firebase also collects SDK user-agent details about the device, operating system, app identifier and development platform to understand aggregate platform and version adoption. Firebase documents this user-agent information as not linked to a user or device identifier.
Correction and deletion
You can update your account name and profile photo in Account. Contact your coach to correct a player’s details or a published result. Corrections keep private change history while the app displays the permitted result. A person who blocked the author may retain a read-only earlier numeric result without that author’s text or subsequent updates.
Delete account is available under Account → Security & privacy. Deletion removes sign-in, account information and access. If no other authorized adult account remains linked to a player linked to the deleting account, the player’s profile, photo, birthday, results and private revisions are also deleted. If another adult remains linked, that player’s records remain available to them; the deleting account’s access and account information are removed. Deleting a coaching account does not delete records belonging to other linked accounts. Deletion also removes that account’s pending photo submissions, reports made by or about it, and its own blocking settings. Shared player records and minimal enforcement information may remain for other authorized adults; the deleted account’s personal labels and access are removed.
Archived players can be permanently deleted by the coach. Minimal security markers may remain to prevent old invitations and actions from restoring deleted access or records; they do not contain player names, birthdays, photos, measurements or notes. Provider security logs follow the provider’s applicable retention settings. Automatic database backups are not enabled for this deployment.
